Good Strategy

A strategy is an approach to accomplishing something.

The objective is arbitrary, but is vital to decide first.

You can have a strategy, or approach, for anything – a conversation, a product, a recruitment process.

If you don’t decide your strategy proactively, you will decide it reactively. Doing things proactively normally leads to better results.

Your strategy can change if it’s not working. Don’t let your ego get attached to a strategy, because it will harm you in the long run.

Good strategy makes it clear what to do through directives (for planned circumstances) and principles (for when you’re in uncharted waters).

Good strategy can be explained to a five-year-old.

Good strategy is not that hard, but it is a vital determiner of success.
